Hither'south a quick kickoff guide for managing an on-line WebEx meeting as the "Host"

  1. Ensure you take setup WebEx coming together center on your pc prior to your meeting

  2. Ensure you have the meeting information from the WebEx admin team (east.g. the Host email)
    1. The Host electronic mail, contains meeting link, meeting number, and Host Key number
    2. If you don't have this information, contact the DA WebEx squad (prior to the meeting) at: webex@democratsabroad.org
  3. Join your WebEx coming together every bit a Participant with the email meeting link, or from the DA WebEx agenda page:https://democratsabroad.webex.com/
    1. Note: all users, Hosts and Participants, log on as a NORMAL user
    2. Practice Not use the "Cisco Host Log In" button (never)

  4. To become (reclaim) the Host office in the coming together:
    1. Do not log on from WebEx as Host (ever).  Log on as a normal Participant
    2. Once in the meeting, click the "Participant" menu (upper left) of the Meeting Center program
    3. Select the "Repossess Host" option and insert Host Fundamental number.
      1. (The Host Key is a unique number for each meeting listed in the Host e-mail sent prior to the meeting)
    4. You are now the Host

  5. As the Host of a WebEx meeting, you lot can:
    1. Mute other participants on the phone call
    2. Pass the Presenter "ball" to others to let them to share documents
    3. Close down a WebEx coming together. If the Host exits the meeting, the coming together will cease

How to Record a WebEx Meeting

  1. User must be HOST
  2. Meetings must be specifically recorded during the meeting to exist available later.Note: Meetings are "NOT" recorded by default
  3. During the meeting, the HOST must ask if information technology's OK to record the meeting
  4. If and so, the HOST presses the Tape button.  The meeting volition be recorded from that point forward.  Audio, Video and chats
    1. Please meet prototype beneath for location of RECORD button

  • To access the recorded meetings send a request to webex@demsabroad.european union .  Include the following
    • Coming together Number
    • Meeting date/time (In New York Timezone)
    • Meeting Title
    • Requester's proper noun and email address
